THINKING LIKE A CHILD FOR PROFESSIONALS
SERIOUS CHALLENGES. FRESH THINKING.
The title may raise a question: what does thinking like a child bring to a professional setting?
It starts with the expertise already in the room. Bas adds fresh ways of questioning familiar assumptions, exploring possibilities and discovering what could work in practice. Stories, humor and interaction make the thinking tangible.

THE INGREDIENTS
THREE INGREDIENTS THAT MAKE THE FORMULA WORK
The magic isn’t in any single ingredient. It’s in the combination.
Expertise
The knowledge, skills and experience already present in your organization. It helps you understand the context, the constraints and what matters.
×
Childlike Intelligence
The fresh perspective that questions assumptions, reveals new possibilities and brings energy. Through ConsultingKids’ work with 20,000+ children, Bas and his team noticed recurring patterns in how children approach complex challenges. Those patterns became practical lenses professionals can use themselves.
×
Curious Little Experiments
Small steps that turn curiosity and wonder into action. Try an idea, notice what happens and use what you learn to choose your next step. The aim is to discover something, not to prove yourself right.
=
Progress
Meaningful movement on the challenges that matter to your organization and the people it affects. That might start with a clearer question, a possibility worth exploring or something concrete you are ready to try.
The multiplication signs express the connection. Expertise makes fresh ideas relevant; fresh eyes give expertise new directions and energy; small experiments create a way to learn from them.

ABOUT BAS
SCIENCE, STRATEGY AND SOME UNEXPECTED TEACHERS.
Bas’s background spans biopharmaceutical sciences, strategy consulting and an Executive MBA at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University.
Alongside his speaking work, he runs ConsultingKids. Through hundreds of projects, Bas and his team have explored how children approach complex organizational challenges and translated their unexpected thinking into professional insights and possibilities for action.
That experience is the foundation of Thinking Like a Child for Professionals.
YOUR AUDIENCE. YOUR CONTEXT.
AN EXPERIENCE THAT FITS THE ROOM.
Thinking Like a Child combines fresh perspectives with the expertise already in the room. We’ll connect the experience to your audience, event theme and intended effect.
Thinking Like a Child starts with the knowledge and experience already in the room. Bas invites professionals to add fresh questions and perspectives to that expertise.
We’ll discuss the audience’s expectations and any sensitivities in the briefing, so the examples and interaction fit the people taking part.
These sessions are designed for adults. Children do not take part in the keynote, workshop or masterclass. Bas brings the thinking patterns discovered through ConsultingKids into a professional setting.
If you would like real children to explore an organizational challenge, we can discuss a separate ConsultingKids project.
Curious how this could connect with your event? We’re happy to talk it through.
